I think the error messages speak for themselves. UltraMFCD is unable to contact the server that validates that it is still allowed to run.
As per the legalese when you download UltraMFCD:
3. To allow UltraMFCD (2.7.0) to contact ultramfcd.com upon startup.
If you've set your firewall to block uMFCD's initial attempt to access ultramfcd.com, then no worky.

The message was clear to me. I added exceptions in the firewall for new versions (2.7.0 and 2.7.1) and nothing helped (the previous version 2.6.7 also stopped working). I assume that the problem was on the server side ;-).
I will check again this afternoon.

Could have been a temporary network outage on the server side, I suppose. I checked the server and it isn't complaining that anything was wrong. If you can access this forum, or indeed the main site, then you know the server is alive and well.

Cool. Incidentally, getting rid of real-time dependence on ultramfcd.com is towards the top of the list.

I have downloaded the 2.7.0 and I also have the same error message about validation with the license. I have both my modem and win 7 firewall turned off and still nothing working.....

License Validation Failed as of 4/17/2018 it's been working for weeks, I was just using it fly DCS World A-10C three nights ago with a friend who was also using it now this for both of us! Any work around or suggestions helpful and appreciated. Love using this utility and fully support the teams efforts to bring this release out. Happy to contribute when the option becomes available.

Moving things over to a new server.
Fixing the licence problem now.

Right. That should be fixed. The cause was the new server insisting on handing dates US-style (MM/DD/YY) as opposed to the vastly more sensible Euro way.

MFCD is working normally again. It wasn't until this issue arose that a few of us had no idea of any validation process was even happening. What is the purpose of this process for?

What is the purpose of this process for? Should uMFCD adopt a freemium (preferred)/payware (meh) model in the future, I needed a way to control the gazillion downloads with regards to which features they exhibit. To be honest, I was supposed to move away from the online validation model to a more standard validate-online-once model ages ago, but haven't got around to it yet. Now that DCS appears to be growing more settled with regards to multiple concurrent versions, I'm looking towards reverting to a greater pace of uMFCD development, and this particular issue is on my mind. --Baker P.S. I'm actively working on getting the new server up to speed, installing updates etc, this afternoon. If there's the odd validation failure, it's because the server is in the middle of a reboot. Stg_Baker I personally want to say thanks and I'll be one of the first to contribute to the UltraMFCD Project. Hoping to see the ADI, HSI, VSI and Altimeter next.

They're already on a drawing board. It's my intention that all primary flight instruments will be fully 3D rendered as opposed to a more simplistic 2D approach. Because... pretty!
